I have the '69 convertible kit #1-0822. The most desirable to me is the one I posted #1569. It has 3 engines. *NM*

In a quick look at the convertible kit I notice it includes an optional Pontiac overhead cam inline 6 cylinder engine. Folks may want one for other Pontiac applications like the Pontiac Sprint using a GTO kit or other Firebirds or custom applications *NM*

Anyone out there in cyber space have a good copy of the instructions for this rare kit that they could scan and post or email to me? I'd be very grateful.
Drastic Plastic has an MPC 1969 Firebird convertible set. It probably shares quite a bit of the same parts, but not the clear hood, etc. See this *NM* *LINK*

I'm pretty sure the OHC six was included in all the first gen Firebird kits starting with the '67. *NM*
I'm not positive, but the '69 annual pictured may not have had it. That one had the V8 and the turbine (heavily cribbed from the Jo-Han Chrysler Turbine kit) *NM*
The kit I pictured contains the v8, the ohc 6, and the turbine. The kit contains the "still bagged" non-chromed styrene parts unblemished but the decal sheet and instructions are damaged. *NM*
I think I've got a '69 Camaro kit with the OHC 6 in it. *NM*
OHC6 was still in the AMT reissues of the '69 Firebird according to the instructions, at least. Only gripe is that there's only one transmission in the kit *NM*
Worth it to go back as far as you can afford if seeking one out
Years ago we test drove a used Sprint Six Pontiac convertible. Instead bought a red '66 Impala. Had that Impala a LONG time. *NM*

I sent you an e-mail becaus I haven't figured out how to post a pdf file here *NM*
Carl, thanks for the scans. *NM*
The Daytona Transporter has a Pontiac OHC six *NM*
Yep! *NM*
This '69 Camaro kit also has the OHC 6 optional engine. Who'd have thought, right?
Boxart in above photo. *NM*
It's based on the Firebird, as was the MPC '69 Camaro annual kit. The annual included the turbine but not the six, and did have a Chevy V8 *NM*
The annual Camaro had the Firebird interior bucket too, as did the black reissue *NM*
WELL....if I'd known that, I never would have bought it. Model companies cheat a lot, don't they? *NM*
Both the Camaro/Firebird hardtops had the shorter convertible style front windshields too. *NM*
Beat ya to it, Rich! See me above, hehe. *NM*
Beat me to it? If you mean the wise crack. Yep, you beat me. As far as these 2 or 3 kits go, you didn't beat me. Most we've discussed purchased the year they were released.👺 *NM*
