This is very cool. I LOLed at the arrow pointing to the arrow pointing to the date. *NM*
Tim, your model building skill just amazes me, but your link to the van & its owners....are they your parents?. *NM*
Yes indeed. *NM*
That's a fantastic build, looks real! Great job creating memories with a work of art itself! *NM*

That's pretty cool !!! *NM*
Boy you have stirred up some memories for me. I had a 72 turquoise and white. My father had converted it to a camper and then gave it to me in 76. Now I have to get me that kit. I really don't need any more projects. Thanks *NM*
Looks like your Mom was a true artist! Wonderful tribute, Tim! *NM*
Nice way to recreate family history; your Mom was quite the artist! *NM*
Amazing build! I agree that it would be nice to see this one come out again... Round2 clone project? *NM*
Great model, even better story *NM*
Tim...this is a great back story and your modeling project rocks. Big congrats and thanks for sharing it with us...TB *NM*
I think this was the last Sportsman version...PIC INSIDE...Like many kits I've owned, another one I let go thinking there'll be another.😎
That and the Sportsman were the only two issues with windows. There was no '73 annual, the first custom (Keep On Truckin') was issued in '73 but was not an annual *NM*
Kudos on a great build and all the memories it brings you. Thanks for sharing the pics and story! *NM*
