Hold the phone - what is the story with the '65 Coronet
Appears to simply be the Polar Lights version to me. *NM*
This version is said to have 426 Hemi engine parts that were tooled along with the rest of the kit, but never got included until now *NM*
RM....what were the challenges with the PL kit?...I'm no mid 60's mopar expert but built it & thought it was o/k for what it was...except the wedge instead of a hemi.....lol. *NM*
Andy...it was a good attempt at a full detail mostly snap together kit. The bodyside treatment, however, was not accurate...the shoulder from front to back sags in the middle vs. needing a tiny upward curve. Compare it to the original AMT annual kit & the Moebius....
Tim...I'll have to find my PL version, built & packed away in a box, as for finding an AMT annual....ha,ha....not here in Oz since 1965, hopefully I'll see the new Moebius kit before xmas.....yep, the one next year......lol. *NM*
You should see what I did to convert the Polar Lights body to an altered wheelbase car! Got the Moebius Strickler kit, my rework compares quite well! *NM*
I would definitely like to see your conversion... I started one years ago that I never finished. Ended up selling it as part of the big purge a couple years ago. *NM*
What Tim said - there was an animated discussion about same here after the release
Looking forward to getting the SSlasher Chevelle and the Pro Street Nova back, especially if they have the MPC-style decals *NM*
Wait- WHAT? ‘72 Duster???…
Could it be based off the newer-tooled '71 Duster? At least theywon't have tool anew grill for the Demon kit. *NM*
No. , , I don't think you'll be seeing any more modifications of that generation of tooling after the full bumper Camaro '70 Camaro proved to be a lot more trouble then it was worth. *NM*
pPicked up the full bumper '70 Camaro kit at a show in Denton, Texas a few weeks ago. researched a1/1 color for the build, but now I've forgotten it--some shade of green or tan. *NM*
This Duster has a whole new body, I don't think the grille is a big deal *NM*
