My last gig was working closely with GM Fleet on a number of product information projects, which meant reading the various order guides. For someone of a mind, there were a lot of interesting loopholes and "1 of 1" opportunities.
For example, it was possible on Silverado and Sierra to specify a 'color-to-sample' like the old days at Fisher Body. Emblem delete is not super common. Typically, it is for larger orders placed on a specific bid (AT&T, etc.) where the whole vehicle will get a vinyl wrap for branding purposes. Much easier for installers to not deal with the emblems, etc. A dealer ordering product for his local stock would probably not go there, but it happens occasionally.
All kinds of other SEO items were out there for popular fleet vehicles, like vinyl trim, orange seat belts, engine speed limiter settings, rubber l floor covers instead of carpet, etc. At first, you shake your head, then, you realize it makes sense if you can.
Pretty sure that civilians can still go to gmfleet.com and press through the menu to get to resources and download ordering guides. Ford may have a similar opportunity, but haven't looked in a few years.
