It was on 1960 thru 1966 Chevys. My search does not show it on the GMCs. My dad had a 65 lwb with the same side trim. *NM*
'60 and '61 had a different style trim as depicted in the AMT '60 kit, and SMP '60 and '61 annual kits. AMT '63 annual has the trim pictured *NM*
That's odd. This is a '63. I didn't remove any trim. It was just plain like this. *PICS*
Must have been the '62 then. One of them definitely has the trim *NM*
62 kit has trim ,63 kit does not ,62 & 63 promos have trim *NM*
Couldn't some of the cheaper trucks come without trim? *NM*
No trim is more work friendly, nothing to snag and hang off the side *NM*
Google image shows plenty of bare base models, maybe a fender bade but that's it *NM*
Current GM vehicles ordered under a GM Fleet Account number can delete some or all exterior ID
Ford used to have a Fleet painting guide (I had a copy of the '89 book) that listed the paint variations, but I don't know if they had one for part options.
It was and is the bugaboo of the Silverado and Sierra brands - GM could go many years without ever making the same one twice
I have been corrected. Here's a shot of the 1960 - 61 trim
The reason I was asking was because the Revell '64 & '66 kits don't have the trim and I like the way that trim looks rather than without. *NM*

You could always print one. *LINK*
Not seeing the '62 Apache AMT bed in there, kicking myself for not getting one from Don when I could... not urgent, tho. *NM*
It's a printable file. It has the dually and the standard long bed. It's there. *NM*
