There are exceptions, of course, as has been pointed out by some posters, but in my highschool days, there were guys like myself who were die hard car nuts, but even the average teenager had some interest in cars. I suspect nowadays there are things that kids are interested into with similar enthusiasm, but it's not turning wrenches. Probably some video game tweak, or whatever. I don't currently have any teenagers in my life to draw that information from, but times change, and so do fads, interests, and trends. In general I think kids now are more afraid of climate change and thus tend to reject cars rather than embrace them. Just my 2¢... nothing more.
