Isn't the AMT 40' trailer from the 1970's, whereas the 53' is a much newer trailer, I'd think in the real world the longer one with greater capacity would be the more common, here in oz & think 48' is the limit. *NM*
Most of those I see on the roads these days are 53' but there are still many 40s in use. *NM*
if youre talking long haul/over the road , 53ft because of the extra cube.
Back in the day (1970s), each of the 50 states set their own length maximums. Of course, that was also in the heyday of COE trucks.
AMT also has/had 27' vans.........EXAMPLE INSIDE
