I recall 1968 in So Cal..........

We had a active period of quakes. The nut jobs came out of the woodwork and the local media had them all on. It, for the most part, was doom people guessing the worst. For a kid it was scary time. KTLA had a guy with a 2 man sub in his yard.....as iff that would save him if it really went down that bad.

But there were real affects. Dad worked for Valvoline and they had a west coast warehouse that had hundreds of 55 gallon drums of motor oil used to package it in cans. All these quakes caused issues for them and some injuries. After a summer of quakes and floods Dad asked to be transferred back East.......where we ended up in Charlotte.

I do not miss the quake season!!!
