Same here. In fact the Temecula Spring Rod Run came close to shutting down......

(as the story was told to me) One year they (not sure who 'they' are) let a show promoter take the show away from the car club that had run the show very successfully for years. This promoter fenced off the entire old town area and charged a fee to get in. Because of that, the merchants in old town saw sales drop dramatically so they went back to the old way and it's turned into a very successful show. Draws hundreds of cars and thousands of spectators.
