Straight Line Saturday......err Friday! *PIC*
Love the Corvair! Kind of an ahead of its time grille-less look of the Teslas nowdays. ;^) *NM* *PIC*
well, They were air cooled! *NM*
Where was that last picture taken, and when? *NM*
I can't really say, but for whatever reason, The "Dirty D" Detroit Dragway comes to mind, but that's only a guess. They ran 4 wide there on occasion. *NM*
Interesting! I thought the 4 wide was a new thing. *NM*

Vintage 4 wide Drag racing...... *PIC*
Well, I learned something new today.... I had never heard or seen 4 lane drag racing... *NM*
Always thought that Charger was an interesting subject. *NM*
Yeah, 1/2-way between a funny car and a Pro Stock? Or something. Is B/A some sort of "altered" class? It sure is cool! *NM*
B/A = B / Altered *NM*
Not sure how competitive it was as an Altered, but it probably could have been a gasser with a bit less engine setback *NM*
Is it me, or is the top chopped? I'd swear that the whole body is fiberglass. *NM*
The tilt front end is fiberglass for sure. Bumper is molded in and the grille is painted on. The rest of it is likely sheetmetal. I think that was probably a rule. It looks chopped to me too. *NM*
Altereds, and even gassers, could have full fiberglass bodies by then. Both of George Montgomery's Mustang gassers had 'glass bodies *NM*
You should give it a try Frank. *NM*
The Austin pickup would make an ambitious project with the Revell Austin and Willys Pickup kits *NM*
Indeed! The Austin is the only one of those Revell drag cars from that era that I never had......
