I took it on knowing , or thought I knew, the shortcomings, I wasn't prepared for what was in the box, in spite of the warnings and the parts illustrations on the bottom. The body is very weird, like a total custom. I kinda like the fender flares, the front end was nearly unbuildable as the fit was ridiculous. The motor is undersized, and when I slammed the ride height , there was no way the exhaust was going to fit so it got those very small headers.
The interior doesn't fit very well and if you do manage to get the top trimmed to fit the body, the rear window doesn't begin to fit the opening. The hood hinges on mine didn't fit very well, but in fairness, I didn't fuss with it too much, I just sanded the bracket off and added some styrene mounting tabs under the four corners of the hood and while I haven't added them, 4 decals representing hood pins would do well to give the illusion of a lift off hood.
I just re-drilled the axle mounting holes and cut the metal axles so as not to run through the engine and just epoxied the ends in the holes. There was another set of wheel options that I didn't really consider, though I did mock up he other tire options, but I preferred the Slicks for the rear to fill up the wheel openings, I'm not sure I've seen another built version of this kit, so it does make for a bit of a rare model, if not a good one.
