I can't really say, but for whatever reason, The "Dirty D" Detroit Dragway comes to mind, but that's only a guess. They ran 4 wide there on occasion. *NM*

Not sure how competitive it was as an Altered, but it probably could have been a gasser with a bit less engine setback *NM*
Is it me, or is the top chopped? I'd swear that the whole body is fiberglass. *NM*
The tilt front end is fiberglass for sure. Bumper is molded in and the grille is painted on. The rest of it is likely sheetmetal. I think that was probably a rule. It looks chopped to me too. *NM*
Altereds, and even gassers, could have full fiberglass bodies by then. Both of George Montgomery's Mustang gassers had 'glass bodies *NM*

Indeed! The Austin is the only one of those Revell drag cars from that era that I never had......
The Austin is the worst of the three (Henry J and Willys pickup being the other two...
