The body work alone would stop me from trying this. Can't wait to see when you have more work done on it. *NM*
Way cool! *NM*
Neat! I'll be watching closely as I'm tackling a similar project, loosely inspired by a real salt flats racer *NM*

Yes, I agree AMT did a great job on the rear wheel wells.....: ) The HUG and Holy Mackerel kit have the rear wheel wells radiused.
Very nicely done body mods! Can't wait to see more of this one! *NM*
I'm all in for slicks in radiused rear wheelwells, I love where this is going!
I'll keep the photo sizing in mind going forward, thanks for the input, as for the tires....
It will be very cool, I can tell! *NM*
Just way too cool!!!! You're making me want to jump in and build one myself! (Don't tell Frank though... He'll have to beat us both to the punch. 😉) *NM*
I have no doubt he'll get one done before I get this one finished!
It looks like you swapped the front fender cut outs to get the wheel openings moved forward? I do not know if that is a customary way, but it sure saves work whenever the fender side shapes will allow it. Slick trick! *NM*
I did exactly just such a thing, the A/FX cars of the 60s it was common practice,
On the Scootin Cuda car this is loosely based on, the front fenders, as well as the hood, grille bumpers, doors and trunk deck were fiberglass, and the side glass was lightweight plexiglass with a gutted interior...that eliminates all the guess work. *PIC*
Heres the Sox and Martin version..... *NM* *PIC*
