Needs all-new dash, plus the bucket seats were a different design, and of course all the sew patterns are different too. *NM*

Revell would have to do an all-new body to fit the existing interior and chassis. *NM*

I have been dying for a '70 or '71 Dodge Dart kit. Why won't they take the L.A. Dart body and make it stock? With that and the new Demon I would think that it can't be that difficult to do? Or Revell. They made a '68 and a '69 Dart. How about a '70 or '71 Dart? ...*PICS*...
Don't know why not. It's something that's been missing a long time. *NM*
The 71 Demon and 68 R/Ts are selling hot cakes, you'd think they'd take the hint. *NM*
Revell did a Dart, and it does pretty well, judging from the number of times it was released.
I agree. It's a subject of which I have wanted a kit forever. I've considered attempting a kitbash with the LA Dart, the Demon, and a Revell Dart to accomplish this, but it's a big project and therefore down the list somewhat. *NM*
Because only the L.A. Dart body is 'stock'. MPC/Round2 would have to tool up a stock interior and chassis, along with a drivetrain.
The L.A. Dart body is far from stock. A better approach would be…
Revell would have to do an all-new body to fit the existing interior and chassis. *NM*

Yeah, a lot would need to be done, but I’d like to see it! I’m surprised that a resin/3D conversion kit hasn’t been done yet, TBH. *NM*
You mean a resin conversion like Bandit Resin, Scale Coachworks, Resin Model Ranch, etc has done? *NM*
Yes, that’s exactly what I mean… I guess. Are they well done? II haven’t seen them (hence my previous comment). *NM*
I haven't seen them in person so I can't really comment on the quality but they all looked pretty good in the pics I've seen.. *NM*
Will have to look into them. Thanks for the heads up. *NM*
Is the "LA Dart" wheelstander the last bit of the old MPC F/C body? *NM*
Yes. Front wheel openings are a bit further back than they ought to be...
Main failure on the 69 Darts was not enough of them.
Re: "Yet there's still a glut of Celebrity's and Citations"--What Celebrity kit?
Never had trouble finding the '69 Dart when it was released. The bland box art did it in, they should have just done the '68 first *NM*
100X - judging from the current releases, it would be a prime candidate in a Hi Impact color on the cover *NM*
Does the trunk lid from the Petty Dart fit the LA Dart?
Haven’t tried it, though I’m sure it could be made to fit. The molded in spoilers would have to be ground off, though. If you want to do a ‘71 Dart, you would have to get a rear bumper with the quad taillights from Hart’s Parts. You could also do a Valiant Scamp
My original issue Petty Dart came without a trunk;lid. Hmm....but I do have an original issue Dart funnycar body in my stash. Rightside rocker panel is boogered up....maybe I can remove the trunklid from that body....
Not without work...it is too wide by a smidge, and the curves on the leading edge may need some massaging. *NM*
