...someone will ID your brakes. One of my brothers built a '36 Ford 5W coupe some years back, I believe he used the early F-100 (or early Fifties F-1) half-ton pickup brakes. The '36 used an early V8 rear axle with an early Halibrand QC, I do remember him mentioning having to swap the ends of the rear axle housings to use the pickup brakes.
I remember some of the Lincoln brakes being called "self-energizing" due to the redesign making them easier to apply, but I'm not sure what years those were. I would assume they are still from the era before Ford went to independent front suspension. Once you get a proper ID on what you have, you should have little trouble finding the needed parts--
