My first boss had a white Courier from that generation. He used it to do maintenance jobs for the local Dairy Queen operator.

Covered the territory from Burnet, up to Lampasas. east to Copperas Cove, Killeen, Harker Heights, Nolanville, and Lake Belton. Lake Belton and Nolsnville closed in the '80s. New owner a few years ago.

My boss originally ran the route in a SIX-CYLINDER 1966 MUSTANG COUPE!!! The Mustang was replaced by the Courier back in 1983, which was itself replaced by a Nissan Hardbody. a few years laer. My dad wondered why and how Manuel (my boss) didn't use a fullsize pickup to do the run (the trunk of the Mustang was crammed with Multimixers, Freon bottles, hand tools, etc.
Manuel eventually got an F-150 to do the job...by the '90s.
