Ken: Just pulled up a video on light duty twin boom Holmes wrecker. It looks like there is one winch but there appear to be separate spools; one for the lifting cable and two smaller outside ones for the booms adjustment. Must be a way of disengaging each one.

The wrecker frame had two pulleys on top that tied directly to each boom and down to the outside winch spools. 1989 Ford F350 with Holmes twin boom wrecker body. Just type in "Holmes light duty twin boom wrecker body" and you should see a video link for the F350. Might help you with the rigging.
