Here's how I'm doing mine...*2 PICS*...

I sprayed my floorpan with only Tamiya Red Oxide Primer. The frame is gloss black. I chose no body-color overspray and left the rear rear wells in primer.

For comparison, here's the chassis from my '62 Pontiac. I chose gray primer with the body color (Yuma Beige) overspray and rear wheel wells. Neither project is being done for accuracy. Just my preference.

About the AMT '67 Chevy, I found the final location of the rear end and rear suspension pieces to be indistinct. If I were to do another. I'd glue the rear axle housing and all suspension pieces first - checking their alignment carefully. Then I'd paint it as an assembly.
