It's all about the tool. You need a GOOD double flare tool. Harbor Fright will not do it. Get one made by Lisle, Ridgid, or Snap-On. I bought a lot of Snap-On stuff 20-30 years ago and it's usually worth the money. Also, do not try to flare S/S hard lines. The material is

very difficult to work with. The zinc plated steel tubing would be my choice.
