My last entry at GSL in the '80s was this Dodge M880 Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle (CUCV). It was based on the old MPC "Thunders Truck" because all the chrome trim had been removed from the sides at that time.

I think the suspension is Warlock, and I don't remember where the wheels came from. Might be ESCI.

This was painted twice. I didn't like the first one, so I masked off the wheels and windows and repainted it on my work bench. You can see overspray on the frame at some angles. It represents a Montana National Guard truck at the time.

And no, they didn't have front hubs. Those generation Dodges were full-time 4WD until 1979.

Got a second place in Light Commercial, I think. The magazine stories and other projects had my focus by then, so I quit entering contests after that.
