The most easy to do is to update the latest Top Fuel Dragster kits to todays standard, not that hard if you want to...

Start with the basic kit wich is very good and was state of the art when it first came back in 1990's and it was updated some over some years but never enough, put in some new parts and modify it a bit.
Because if Revell had done the necessary updates when they did the latest versions of this kit, wich was the Kenny Bernstein Budweiser King and Tony Schumacher ARMY dragsters back in 2002 they would be pretty much current today, but they didn't, just a few things was done like the carbon fibre injector hat.
The things that needs to be modified to do a current Top Fuel Dragster are change the 2 element rear wing to a 3 element wing and side plates, modify the chassis and body to accomodate the full width front wing, new up to date wheels front and back, and some new and updated engine parts like the titanium valve covers with spark plug shields, a set back blower with manifold, MSD Pro Mag 44 magnetos, new updated Waterman Mega Bertha fuel pumps, a new larger oil catch can and a belly pan and you are pretty much there.
All these things came in the mid to late 1990's and early 2000's and should have been on the 2002 kits if they would have been correct, and if Revell would have done it the kits would be up to date even today over 20 years later as the development more or less stopped after that, at least visually.
Noticable changes lately are the larger windshield and some use the DSR canopy.
