WHAT'S IN THE BOX..... PIX and thanks for looking
The grill and headlights look like they were updated to be just right. Thanks for posting. I'm waiting for the hdtp to come out. *NM*
All the parts have very nice part fitments with gaps at virtually nothing. *NM*
Looks good. For the second hood with the hole - does the kit have a blower or tunnel ram option?
Box art side panel shows an injected racing 440 Magnum. *NM*
Thanks - I see.now. That would be interesting showing through the hood :-) *NM* *PIC*
Come with injectors and has two hood scoops, a clear one and two solid ones *NM*
Thanks for sharing Frank! - FWIW-Mecum has one listed in B5, with some great detail pictures. May be an older auction, but the pics are greats. *NM*
I don't mind convertibles but try to stay away from older ones, this one like the Olds has really nice engraving and detail. The older kits only had a hint of details. I both two of these I may even try whacking a roof off an extra body of 68-70 MoPar's. *NM*
I'm just lazy :-) Convertibles require a lot of extra work to make the interiors look good (and rightly so). That's the first place anyone is going to look when you build one. *PIC*
Have you tested the fit of the 'new tool' R2 B-Body chassis yet? Been hoarding er, collecting a few for projects like this
Yeaaah, but I found out getting the locating pins set in the hole is a bit finicky but once in it fits like a glove. *NM*
IMO, other than front suspension I think the Coronet unit is actually better *NM*
Thanks Frank!! *NM*
Thanks for posting those Frank. Here some build tips ...
Thanks Steve will do. *NM*
Still has a very poor "MPC" 440 motor. Use the big block from a Revell kit like the '68-'69 Darts for something a lot better/accurate. *NM*
I think the main problem with all MPC 440 engines is the fact they molded the intake and lifter valley together which gives it a flattened look. Revell molded these in two parts so it is much more realistic. Here is a pic of a 69 Charger I built with the 440 (PIC)
MPC has incorrect valve covers and those optional headers and injector manifold are designed for a Hemi (with the equal port spacing) , I believe. *NM*
I believe 3D scale parts is offering the uptop for this kit. *NM*
Thanks Curtis I just ordered 2. *NM*
