Question for Board members who are or were contest judges
If it's a motorized turntable, most judging teams will request that you turn the motor off. Mirrors help the judges evaluate the underside of your model and are generally welcomed by judges. . *NM*
The turntable not so much, could even be a distraction. But the mirror (since most judges, myself especially had a self rule about picking up models) does help. *NM*
I always disliked turntables....mirrors definetely helped as I never liked picking them up either *NM*
I have a set of "turntables" but they are only flat dishes that sit on a set of round roller bearings. The model can be turned to see the back without handling it. No issues that way. *NM*
X2. You can buy small turntables used to store spices in your kitchen cupboards. *NM*
