Guessing it is a job for scalecoat, the purples are not effective with the Tamiyas.
Tripped over a box of old builds from the '60s, slightly better than gluebombs, more than enough obscure aftermarket wheels in there to keep the silicone flowing for a while.
Only prob: a few of these have the glass glued in solid, and IIRC the stronger solutions with turn them white (like they did to a '62 Futura) Mineral spirits have been helpful in loosening the bonds, so far, but a few might be fighting back for a while, and I don't want to ruin any more clear than necessary.
