Those seats have a separate cushion that goes on the back. *NM* *PIC*

Since you have multiple kits I assume you have another set of the seats. The seat backs have an awkward bar protruding at kidneys/lower back level that would be annoying to some. You could use the lower seat sections of a donor to put in the upper back recess, which would

A little bit of customizing on a 58 Impala interior (PICS)
Pretty cool idea !!! Might look a little better if the rear seats were the same ()or very close) to the same height as the fronts. Just my 2 cents worth *NM*
COOL! *NM*
Neat idea, tho' I agree with CT that the rear seats might do well to be a little lower, maybe trim the bottom of them 1/8th" but the overall idea is indeed cool......you gunna run the custom dash pod as well? *NM*
I concur, I'll lower the rear seats some. *NM*
Yes, I'm going with the floating dash pod. I'll also redo the interior door panels in a more modern/custom way. *NM*
It's interesting to have stadium seating in a car. I've seen it in a suv but not a 58 Impala. *NM*
Those "custom" seats have been in the AMT 58 Impala since it was issued AFAIK..........they are different.....lol, but I suppose of the era. *NM*
I agree the seats are too high. Looks like you could match the floor heights. You might consider a flat package tray that the front edge rolls down to mate with the panel behind the seats. The soft curvy bulges do not seem to go well with the seat shapes. Just my 2 cents. *NM*

Yeah, I'm still working on them. There are some sink holes in the sides I need to fill. Once I get that done I will either Molotow the seat frames or BMF them. *NM*
That's good. I thought that looked a little awkward. You sure have an ambitious program lined up.Keep us posted! *NM*
I got about five of these new release ones! I went a bit crazy I think. *NM*
I like that idea of flatting the rear package shelf. Thanks. *NM*
Love what you've done here. Extending the console and adding the rear seats ties the whole interior together. Thumbs up! *NM*
Re: Looks great *NM*
Nice start, Rob. And, yea, I'd take a bit off the bases of the back seats, not flatten the floor. A lot of the old AMT kits come with custom front seats but you almost never see anyone go to the trouble of using a second set in the rear , nice to see it done. *NM*
ORRrrrrrr,,,make a cover over the entire rear seat area !!!! Then ya don't hafta even think about it! *NM*
Yes, a lot of the AMT kits had custom covers for the back seat, mostly Pointiacs I believe. *NM*
Thanks. *NM*
That's gonna be nice, and since you're really getting extreme in the interior, do you have some "extreme" ideas for the exterior as well?? *NM*
Not quite yet. Working on it though. *NM*
Straight cash money - check fit with chassis when you get a minute, but that is just sweet *NM*
The last pic is showing the interior tub sitting on the frame, so I'm good. (PIC)
