Love the '68 GTX ragtop. That, with a 4-speed would be a 'grail' car for me. I do wonder, though, how many top-of-the-line GTXs made it out the door with cheapo dog dish hubcaps. *PIC*

You see them all the time now, at car shows and on the 'net, but I would imagine most of them would have come from the factory with Magnum 500s or some kind of wheel cover. There would have been some ordered in, I'm sure, with the idea that they were chucking the cheap wheels to put on Cragars or something, but still...

It's funny sometimes how history seems to rewrite itself. I recall back then that nobody wanted those cheap stamped steel wheels and would change them out ASAP. Now they seem to be the wheel of choice of musclecar folks...
