For the AMT 1972 Nova - are the separate front fenders a big deal? -->

Nice work. I like how you turned the stock chassis into a race car by using the interior bucket to build the cage into. The finished product looks just like what I remember seeing on our local short track back in the 1970s. The stance, wheel arch re-radiusing...
That's a nice job, you can fit the AMT stock car chassis under it as well, the wheelbase is a perfect match.. *NM*

I have a stalled Chevelle project using an AMT NASCAR chassis. Fits really well except that I had to adjust the wheelbase slighty when I radiused the wheel arches (Chevelle had an inch longer wb than Nova). *PIC*

Can't say for the recent reissues but I built an Old Pro kit 20yrs ago,painted the fenders separately like the hood at the same time as the body & it went together o/k,admittedly I wasn't as anal then as I am now,lol, but think it was o/k, sold it so its not here any more. *NM*
Their being separate isn’t a big deal in of itself however last few i bought the tool is getting old and the line between where they and the door meet up is kinda soft/messy so depending how particular you are some filling/shaping may be needed *NM*
One note , it’s been a few years since the issues I bought (pre Beverly Hills Cop version) so they may have since cleaned that area up on later issues *NM*
Bottom line that tool is shot, ended up throwing my last one in my parts box, does have some good vintage style parts. The early ones were great kits, remember the body was used for the Ventura and Funny car.
