  • You could put another engine (parts pack SBC, maybe?) in front of the Hydramatic. Nobody ran an Olds powered Anglia back in the day anyway *NM*

      • Nope, nope, nope. Small-block Chevy, later a big-block. Olds engines weren't allowed in those cars under the rules at that time *NM*

  • That engine is the same as the one in the Revell Anglia.....
    • The Revell kit had the Critter decals, but everything else was fictional. The 1:1 never had an Olds engine...
      • And he ran a 4 sp with the small block, then switched to the Hydro with the big block. *NM*

      • Yup, I was dead wrong in what I said, it was a small block then a big block later on. You are right about the small blocks in Anglias/Thames too.

        • For those interested in the 1:1 Critter, it's featured in the February 1966 issue of Rod & Custom. I thought I had that issue but didn't, just bought one this morning *NM*
  • Thanks to everybody who took the time to answer my question. The depth of knowledge on this board is huge. My plan now is to swap in a Revell 283, and top it with an F.I manifold.
