That engine is the same as the one in the Revell Anglia.....

Which was originally issued as Skipper's Critter and is a model of an actual drag car from the mid 60's (Circa 1965/66). The engine is very accurate for that car. Would be prototypically correct for this type of car at the time. You could add a Roots style supercharger, but that would bump it up to an A/Gas or A/GS (gas supercharged) depending on the year. The blower can be sourced from the old issue Revell '41 Willys coupe and it would probably take little, if any, modification because both are Olds Engines. The real Skipper's Critter eventually did have a blown engine, in the A/GS class. If you go that route, you will have to cut a hole in the hood, for sure. I would go with either the fuel injection or blower, that other stuff you are talking about really wouldn't be right for this type of car. You could go with a small block Chevy, they certainly put them in everything, but Oldsmobile engines were used in drag cars during the 60's and were certainly not uncommon at all. Check out the George Kass Remembers website, there are all types of drag cars with Olds engines.
