Drag Race Engine Question. Olds 394-Revell Thames Panel

I am building the Revell Thames Panel Truck racer. It is one of the versions molded in the Metallic Green plastc from '80's or '90's. I'm just going to polish the body, as I like the colour it is molded in so much.
My question concerns the engine. I know it is an Olds. I do not like the Short Stack Fuel Injection that Revell uses.
Any Ideas on other Intakes that would work?

The Blower from the AMT '40 Ford Coupe should fit. But will the hood still close on the Thames.
Has anybody used this Set-up?

The 6 Carb manifold from the Pontiac in the '36 Ford Should fit with a little fettling.
Would 6 carbs on a Log, be a viable option for drag racing?

Any other suggestions would very much be appreciated from folks who have built this kit.
I'm trying to build the kit mostly OOB, but I'm using AMT Slicks and Wheels, and I want an unusual (or at least unexpected) Intake System.

Thanks.
