I'd bet the Pro Stock hood is the narrow one...

I haven't looked at it lately, but the story is probably still out there. A guy named Larry Widmer built a Pro Stock Thunderbird in the mid-Eighties, he massaged every body panel on it. The car was plain white with no decals, he used several shades of white in different areas to make it look stock. The one time he took it out, he was way ahead of the pack but decided to sell the engine technology to Bob Glidden rather than run a racing operation. He cut the car up, instead of selling it he decided to see how long it took for some of the chassis design to show up in other cars...
