And I detailed the engine some as well. Plug wires were added and the fan belt was adjusted a little. The hood was modified so that it would open. The kit only had a fake short piano hinge in the middle which was the correct type but the hood would not have stayed up. I substituted some small brass tubing, stiff wire that fits inside and two tiny pieces of brass shim stock that were inserted into the cowl. The wire fits in holes drilled in the shim stock. Reinforcement was added to the underside of the hood.

A gas can was cast for the back along with a brass bracket and brown paper for the holding strap. The kit taillights were clear on the sprue. The backs were painted Molotow chrome and the fronts were painted with Tamiya clear red. Then the backs and outside were painted over with OD. Decals including the dash gages and instruction plates were printed on the ALPS.
