    • The '68 GTO has an opening hood & removable lower engine insert. Obviously designed for engine later like the '63 Nova Wagon.. *NM*

        • Well, I've been called a rivet counter, but it's pretty hard to see the carb or intake with the air cleaner installed. Now if it were very obvious, like headers, yes I can understand that! *NM*

                • The '70 engine might not be too accurate, as that kit was converted from the '80 Turbo kit which had that oddball 301 *NM*

                    • GM didn't allow engines over 400 cubic inches in its intermediate cars until 1970. There were exceptions...
                      • Adding to this, 1970 was the first year for the Pontiac 455. Same for the Buick 455, Olds 455 and Chevy 454. *NM*

                        • That's true except for Oldsmobile. Olds brought it out for some big cars. They also ended up putting the 455 in the Hurst/Olds' for 1968 and 1969. *NM*
