For those of you who don't have the MCW Automotive Paint Reference Guide (a very handy reference) here is more specific info....
In Response To: Took a sec to realize the paint is a VERY dark blue. What paint is that? *NM* ()

The color is MCW 6830 which matches Ford code X for 1968. For Lincolns it was called Admiralty Blue, for Fords it was Presidential Blue, and for Mercurys it was Wellington Blue. The same color was used again in 1969, but with a name change for Mercury and Lincoln.
