Anyone else here building this weekend during the 24 Hour Build? Care to share what you'll be building? *NM*
AMT "Li'l Vicky" *NM*
I might, I haven't picked a subject yet. *NM*
Mike do you have details? I may as well jump in since I'm up all night anyway. *NM*
It's on Facebook, Frank. Here's the link. *NM* *LINK*
Thanks Terry I answered the question to join but I don't know anything about FB so wish me luck. *NM*
I can't even fathom how you all do that. I can take 24 hours just looking at the shelves trying to decide which box to pull out and look at. *NM*
The key for me is to pick a vintage or reissued vintage kit from back in the day, with a low parts count. *NM*
OKAY *NM*
LOL. I take days to decide on what's next! *NM*
I'm right there with ya Wayne, I probably couldn't even get a pre-painted snap kit built in 24 hours. I know a lot of guys do it, but I don't really get why you would want or need to build one that fast, but more power to ya if that's your thing. *NM*
The only time I stayed up late to build a model was back in the mid '60's, putting "rigging" on the 1/96th scale Thermoplae. They turned the clocks back an hour, smoked more cigarettes, and all of a sudden, it was 2:00 a.m. Had to be at the Texaco station by 7:00 a.m. Did
Well...Hmmm.... Actually I'm not sure it's about building a model in 24hrs I think it's more of a bonding thing. I did (not this one) one of these and it was fun and, it's more about getting together why I do it, it's not like I don't have time on the bench. *NM*
I remember doing a couple where we spent the night as in more of a Build-N-Bull 24hr build. It was our Build-N-Bull gang. Chili in the crock pot, hot dogs, chips, etc.... you know the regular guy menu. We had a blast. BOOMER not far from you Sparky was our host. *NM*
Kinda like the "Build-n-Bull" @ KKIM & Cedarville? Am I close? L.O.L. *NM*
Yes except we were all together like roommates *NM*
Cedarville is one of my favorite swap meets. And I'd like to think that Scott, Sparky, Marty & you(Frank-ay) help to make it that way, but don't tell anybody I said that. I'll deny it to the Supreme Court!!! L.O.L. *NM*
Those are some the guys that were in on it... Now add Les, John Berry, Wade (Big Kat), and the other Frank *NM*
Ya, after I "posted" I said to myelf those two words, (aw ----)'cause I forgot, Les and "Chicago" Frank. My bad!!! *NM*
Imagine how many hours you spend on an OOB and compress it into one day

That will be a trick! *NM*

I'll be there, will be building a 1929 Ford Model "A" Roadster Pickup Truck & the 23 T roadster kits. *NM*
I am taking part in this annual challenge :)
I saw your name on the list and I'm happy to be part of it. Here is my 2 cent on painting. I heat the paint take my car out in the cold garage and bring it back in I guess it doesn't have to get cold. *NM*
I did that last year, the paint was still not good, took lots of polishing :( *NM*
You must have an attached garage. When I did some laundry last week it was 38 degrees out in the garage-llaundry room, not counting the 20 mph wind getting out there. *NM*
I do have an attached garage but things still freeze.... when it gets this cold Oliver doesn't stay out long, But I spray then bring in right in I don't leave it that's why I only one or two at a time it stinks up the house if I do more. Door is open anyway for the light. *NM*
