• Andreas Grossen from Switzerland send me these photos to post for him. I just read the post from Gerry Paquette regarding a wheel choice for the 48 Ford Custom patterned by Juha Airio. As I built such a kit last year, I could have a suggestion for Gerry: I used cast pewter *PIC*
  • Maybe its me but I seem to think that this body design owes something to the purple1:1 Holden Efigy custom that GMH built about 20yrs ago....a number of both 1/18 and 1/24th scale models were licenced by GMH & I take nothing away from Juha's skills or effort. *NM*

      • Ray,yep I agree,there are general similarities,but this custom 48 Ford(Efigy,a play on the GMH series term of "FJ" for the 1953-56 Holdens) still looks more like the Efijy than any 1948 Ford or custom version I've ever seen,lol,would love to hear Juhas take on this idea, lol *NM*

          • Juha,many thanks for taking the time to reply,I am honoured that you have done so as I was & am in awe of your modelling skill as has been shown via the number of articles in the old SAE,your comment regarding the Audi TT roof is something I had not considered & has given me
