    • Yes! The customizing of the day was great... Spent many Saturday's at Rockford Auto Parts walking around the yard looking for things you can use. That's when you could walk around in the yard and you could find 75% of your parts. *NM*
      • EXAMPLE: Found the 71 GP door handles, 71 Caprice grille, GP front turn signals, 74 Vette side louvers, 74 Camaro mirrors, Monza seats, and many other parts. *NM*

    • Here is how that happen... someone caused me to wreck my 66 Coronet, The insurance paid my mom $600, she kept that... I worked two jobs in the summer months and saved $5 or $600. The summer going into Jr year I had enough credits to graduate early knowing that and **INSIDE*

        • Thanks.... I loved that Duster. Wifey gets tired of me saying I would like to have it back whenever we see one driving on the road probably going to a car show. Not many of them around anymore. *NM*
    • Man Mark I could go on about those days... When I went off to College/Vol Tech School in Quincy IL I bought my first Vette. I took drafting, (which is pretty much the job I retired from but it was on computer now 38 yr there. ***INSIDE***
      • I have a kind of similar story. Did graduate college, then spent 20+ years programming CNC machines. Turned into full-blown Manufacturing Engineer. Still working at similar job, but not programming. Just Unigraphics 3D modeling and stuff. It's nearly all been fun! *NM*

        • Nice story love the junker part because I've had my share of them. No embellish..... All true maybe I forgot a detail or two but nothing to take away from story. Always tell my son I was lucky I happen to take the right fork in the road. *NM*
