• I've been collecting these 1/43 GTO's in different colors and I just got this white one. It was very discolored so I put it in some bleach. It's nice and white now. I didn't do the interior yet because I wanted to show you ............... *PIC* .......

  • I've had bleach melt styrene. Be careful. I'd dilute it a lot, and test it on something you don't care about first! *NM*
  • Scott, there's some good videos on youtube of people bringing back severely yellowed plastic things with hydrogen peroxide solutions and UV light. They're having some incredible results with it and it seems to be safe for the plastic. *NM*
  • Speaking of bleach, any chemistry gurus here? When you bleach something that is dark and it turns white... where does the color go? ;^) What is the chemical process? *NM*
    • All I know is that it is doing a lot more than just pulling the color out. Bleach will reduce the life of most clothes. It will also either melt, or make styrene brittle if you are not careful. *NM*
