(Dobro is a brand of resonator guitar). *NM*
It's been a while since I'd heard this. Now that you mention it, I do hear the Harrison influence. Fascinating since Clapton has influenced many himself. *NM*
A little Doobie dobro...
And if I can get a little more off topic, here's John McFee playing both slide guitar and pedal steel.
So while we're sharing performances, I don't have a link, but look for the Traveling McCourys covering The Deads "loser", and tell me what you think. My favorite youtube performance. *NM*
Thanks Terry, that was pretty cool. I enjoy instrumentals...don't always need words with the music. *NM*
While we are on this off topic, somebody posted this link some years back to a slide guitar player on a dobro... *LINK*
That was me. :O)) Did you notice that the dobro is a twelve-string? *NM*
I knew it but failed to mention it. It is amazing to watch his fingers flying. There are other videos with close ups of just his hands that are fun to watch, too. He is getting older but I believe he is still performing, but mainly in the western U.S.? *NM*
Interesting still....I've just listened to the Kooper/Bloomfield/Stills Super Session album for the 1000th time........nice guitar there, got it & the earlier double LP...only vinyl....lol. *NM*
