Now, this isn't an old truck motor, but the distributor is always in that spot, at that angle.

A question for you and while I'm at it here is what I am working on. PICs First the question. I am working on the Lindburg Dodge L 700 engine and I don't know what part 9 is. There are no numbers on the sprue and I don't recognize the picture so maybe someone ......

The water pump does sit up higher than normal on those industrial/truck engines. *NM* *PIC*

It's the water pump. It goes on the front of the timing cover. *NM*
I know the water mounts in front of the timing chain but the fan belts has it setting all the way up in align with the intake manifold. Thr proportions are so off that I thought on a big truck it might be something different. *NM*
#9 is the water pump, but with # 8 being the dissy & # 19 a pair of oil filters more or less where the big block oil pump/filters live I suppose the engine is a B/RB(361? maybe) tho' its not the best one kitted, lol. *NM*
Yes, it's some sort of Big-Block Mopar engine. Not very good, really. *NM*

I have the insturctions it is just the fan belt has the pully setting up in line with the intake manifold so I thought maybe on a big truck something was different than a car engine. Anyway, I can't find the water pump anywhere in the box. *NM*
The Revell '68/'69 Darts have nice big blocks in them. You could steal the whole engine or just parts off of one of those. *NM*
Terry, I suggested the IMC instructions because in addition to part number they identify the parts by name. In this case #9 water pump, etc. *NM*
The Lindburg instructions have the parts name also. I realized that after I posted the question. *NM*
Hear is a pic of the water pump housing which bolts to the front of the block. The pump itself bolts in where the 5-hole pattern is. IMC made the housing/pump all one piece. (sorry picture is upside down) *NM* *PIC*
