In Response To: D V, do you remember what the deal was with the front end on the sportsman version? The grill was flipped upside down or laid back, think they called it the X2 option. NASCAR wouldn't let them run it, but USAC was looser on their rules. *NM* ()

It was never allowed in any NASCAR race. ARCA did allow Bobby to run the nose in their races. It was a hand made fiberglass add on part. It was made by AMC but it was never on any production car. I have been hunting one for 20 years. I'd love to make my 74 Matador into a X-11 street version as if AMC had gotten the OK to run it. But it's about as rare as a Ford 70 Torino King Cobra.....so doubt I will ever find one. thx
