I was at home playing hookey, which was very hard since my mother worked at the same high school where I went. I had faked sickness that day. *NM*

Kindergarten...
I had just gotten back to my job(Texaco gas station) after my lunch break, and the boss said "Somebody's shootin' the President"!! I don't think,IIRC,we had all that many customers the rest of the day! *NM*
Here in Oz I remember hearing the report on the morning radio news, I was 9yrs old but old enough to realise what a tragedy this was. *NM*
Junior high in Florida. The principal announced it over the PA. *NM*
Fourth period seventh grade science. I still remember...

4th grade at the school's fall carnival, which was immediately cancelled. I seem to recall that the nuns cancelled the remainder of the school day and we went home early. Being 9, I'm sure I didn't understand what had happened. *NM*
Was in high school Journalism class. Called early dismissal. On walking home I was more interested in the excessive amount of contrails over western Pennsylvania. Our Air Force became very active after the incident. *NM*
Kindergarten too.......they sent us home (we all walked) and Mom was crying.....she loved Kennedy because she saw him in WV *NM*

It affected us here in Canada too... I was in grade nine and once we heard the news the whole school was sent home early.... It was the end of Camelot... *NM*

I was in 5th grade, let school out, went home and worked on Big Deuce and glued to TV rest of day and night! Remember all of it like yesterday, was wiring lights on that kit and thought I was really doing something, didn't realize I was watching history being made and world
I was walking in to my junior science class and the principle announced it saying the president was shot from a 5th floor window in Dallas. Someone asked where the VP was. I said the 5th floor window. I was a smart a$$ back then too. *NM*

8th grade gym class when all students got called into cafeteria and were told Kennedy had been killed. *NM*
Coming back from lunch. Mrs. Roberts 6th grade. I remember a kid running up to us shouting the president was shot. When we got back to class Mrs. Roberts pulled out a TV. I remember Cronkite making the announcement. *NM*

High School. We had been having some jokes once in a while over the PA system and when they announced it some thought it was a bad attempt at humor but when it was confirmed shortly after that it was a different story. A feeling of sorrow and outrage came over the school. *NM*
