LOTS of model cars "hidden" in Star Wars props. The Millenium Falcon's "front notch is made of AMT '57 Chevy or '55 Nomad chasses, topped with the frame rail of an AMT diesel truck kit!
Great article. First time I've heard "greebling" used outside paper modeling. Besides the greasy bits of car models a lot of armor pieces are used also. The Nostromo from Alien has all kinds of armor kits pieces on it. If you remember the Jack Webb UFO program, the ships on
