I'd get one for sure. *NM*

Here is a Spotlight Hobbies Message Board poll (which may have been conducted before, but since I don't remember the answer, I'll ask again: If Moebius, or anybody else tooled up a 3n'1 '67 Mustang coupe (street, strip, and stock), would you buy at least one? I know I would.

*NM*
Yes !!! *NM*
Yes *NM*
At least 2 *NM*
How about making it a '68 Mustang coupe with the option of making a Cobra Jet coupe *PIC*
Since I had a '68,(like the one pictured), I'd buy two. *NM*
How different are 67 and 68, my vote is yes for a coupe, either year. *NM*
I always thought ‘67 & ‘68 Mustangs were identical twins. I’m sure someone could correct me though. *NM*
Body wise from memory, different front grille, 1/4 panel vents on 67 and not on 68, sidemarkers on 68 but not on 67. I’m sure there’s more, but leave that to the resident Mustang Specialists here ;) *NM*
Here's a few shots of 67 pink and 68 red coupes Not a whole lot of differences. *PIC*
Chrome outline around the tail panel on 68 is unique. *NM*
I believe that's part of a trim package. I've seen 67's with it and 68's without it. *NM*
Very close, takes a practiced eye to spot the differences - side vents are usually the tell
I'll second the motion for a '68, and for the same reason. Ford offered the Cobra Jet package on mid-year Mustangs across the board and that would include coupe and convertible models, I would be in for several coupes! *NM*
AMT already makes a 2 '67s, and Revell makes a 68 and 67. I'd rather have a 2022 Mustang - something new.. *NM*
Unless maybe you're talking Coupes instead of the fastbacks. *NM*
I was referring to coupes, as I know there are already some fastbacks kitted. *NM*
Didn’t Revell make the updated 2018 Mustang as a snap kit? *NM* *PIC*
I would not. *NM*
At one point a few years back this exact topic was under consideration as a new tool project. Lots has happened since then; have no idea whether it is or was still an idea on a possible future projects list at that kitmaker. TB *NM*
Of course - engineered appropriately, it could be a convertible as well
6 please........ *NM*
Would like that very much indeed, preferably Round-2 cuz they can use their Ertl designed kit as a staring point, and even incorporate some "upgrades, like a ribbed tailpanel, Mustang lettering on the trunklid, etc... *NM*
I'll bet you a box of chocolate that if you spread the AMT/ERTL new tool on the table ... you could see what would get added, and what would be blocked out
Don’t know if it makes sense from a cost perspective
Yep - all depends on what they were planning at the jump
OR just do it like Moebius, and leave the "extra" parts on the tree! Bought a ramp truck last weekend, and was surprised that they left the F-150's rims IN the kit!
That's due to not thinking through the tooling lay out for all the planned possible variants
The cost of the plastic is hardly worth mentioning - look at everything that went into kits 'innaday' *NM*
But then it’s the art of fitting it all inside a standard box
Which, unfortunately, Moebius needs to work on a bit *NM*
No. Not a one. *NM*
Yes at least a couple of them. *NM*
Yes *NM*
Me? No. I can see that it would make sense, though. If I were in charge of the project, I would make sure that both Trans Am racer and convertible versions would be offered. *NM*
I would buy two!! *NM*
I’d buy one and then wait for them to do a ‘71-‘73 Mustang Grande coupe. *NM*
I'd get one for sure. *NM*
1) AMT;please do a 67 GT 500, 2) the 67 Mustang coupe would be a hit! *NM*
I have an issue with the 67 though
I’d certainly buy a ‘67 Mustang coupe kit. But I’d prefer Moebius continue creating interesting and unique pickups and big Pontiacs, etc. Leave the Mustangs to Round2 & Revell. *NM*
I agree, Dan. TB *NM*
Without a doubt I would. My older brother had one when I was about 12. *NM*
