Spotlight Hobbies

For me it was Ridgewood Variety in East Moline, IL... This was in the early '70's, and Dad would take me there every couple of weeks (we lived 25 miles away).... During the summer of '79, I discovered Leisure Time Hobbies, also in East Moline...

For the next year or so, on most Saturday mornings, I would drive to East Moline and make the rounds to Leisure Time, which was at the bottom of the 7th Street hill, then to Ridgewood, which was at the top of the hill. after that I would drive to Southpark Mall, in Moline, where there was a Toy Fair store that also had a good selection of models, as well as a Montgomery Ward store that always seems to have a few kits on clearance.
