I'm in the middle of building an AMT '77 Ford Econoline van. I'm building it as a DRAG VAN. I'm having a hard time deciding whether to mount the engine (that's too be decided on, too)...
I would go mid engine, it would be easy to do with a van and there is plenty of room, so I would go with a Boss 429 or 427 SOHC or . ....

Allison V16, midship. Pipe the intake up to a scoop on the roof. *NM*
Well, if you're going for gotcha factor, I do the Boss 429, mount it mid-ship, and I'd for sure use a straight axle to get the ride height up. ( you know, to transfer weight) *NM*
