Option C: Leave it alone, save it, it's part of your history to remember- build another, any way you like. *NM*

I think the color would go better on a classic street rod build, but I'm not really sold on those hood cutouts on a street rod. The '39 panel truck has a stock hood to swap in, but of course the paint wouldn't match. *NM*
Yeah, I don't like the hood treatment either, but I don't want to fool with changing it. If I do another one, I will try to find a sedan delivery hood for it. *NM*
Some graphics would certainly brighten things up. *NM*
I like Gasser choice with some cheater slicks and some graphics! *NM*

X2 *NM*
X3 - maybe a bit of wash to pull out details
X4 - Unless it is a rare kit I would leave it alone short of a polish and picking out a few details on the wheels...Remember that you cannot return a vintage build back to original !!! *NM*
Agreed. It's a moment in time, especially with the Testors Car Colors metallics and those wheels. Do the other building versions on the other 39 Chevys you have, then display them together. *NM*
Re: Overhaulin' I like option "C" too... *NM*
I agree, leave it alone, those kits aren't that hard to find, if you want a different version, do it with a second kit. *NM*
I think it looks great as it is! Get another kit and build it like you want. *NM*
Ok, thanks for the responses, it sounds like a lot of people think I should leave it alone, so I think maybe I will clean and polish it. I may switch out the wheels though.....
Yeah, I'd swap out the wheels too. IMO the main interesting history is the paint job; the rest is mostly box stock rather than your personal touch, so I don't think you lose anything by changing it. *NM*
I say leave it alone also. Looks great as is but like you said polish the paint a bit. Build another one like you would to change this one too. *NM*
