Good morning. I picked up an original SMP or AMT 1960 Impala hardtop, unused body only. Then I waited for the opportunity to find parts to build it. I picked up a built 1960 Imp convertible that had a ton of custom pieces on the ......... *PICS* ...

body. It's a great candidate to build the hardtop body. The only thing that I need now, is a rear window.

I have some questions though. The grill doesn't fit the hardtop body as well as the convertible body that it came on. Also, the front valance is very slightly different. I can make the parts work with a minor adjustment. but I'm just wondering why there is a very slight difference between the 2 bodies as far as why the grill fits differently between the two bodies.
.
Also the conv chassis doesn't fit quite right into the hardtop body. It too will need some minor adjustments.

For some reason, the conv came with Buick (1959 ?) wheel covers on it.
