• I'm starting a new wreck diorama. The track is on an angle for a banked turn, there are light poles that work behind the guardrail for night racing, the plan is for 7 cars and there will be cars making contact with each other. This car will be in the air for rollover. *PICS*

    • kind of depends on the track, the short tracks I've attended this year actually have them in both places. But I haven't seen Light poles along track edge anywhere I've been. *NM*
    • I've seen them on the inside and on the outside. Having very limited space, 24 in X 24 in, I had to do what I could to squeeze them in. I'm just looking for different things to do from my previous diorama's in the limited space that I have. *NM*

  • Bambu Lab P1p printer is a FDM. Might be good for trains, but you might want to think of getting a resin printer if you're thinking of parts for models. There are some folks here that have been building with plenty of parts from a 3d printer. I hope they'll chime in...
  • FWIW, a YouTuber I follow, Sam's Trains, has been learning to do 3-D printing. He uses Sketchup for his digital modeling. He has improved in leaps and bounds... *LINK*

  • The Camaro did not, but the 57 had a tunnel ram and a beautiful set of Cragar 5 spokes and a set of drag slicks.
    • Just looked at the Vette instructions on line, appears memory failed me, it has the small block , but it does have the 6-71 blower. *NM* *LINK*

  • Mine are grouped loosely by make and year and stacked on shelfs in my shop, and hobby room. They're everywhere. I like them on shelfs so I can see and remember where each is.

        • Corporate shortsightedness strikes, yet again..... The decision was probably based on sales of that old tool multi-piece mess of a Ranchero.... Meanwhile, I'd put big money on a Ranchero, based on the new wagon, being money in the bank. *NM*
          • I wouldn't say shortsighted, but rather they know how many versions of a particular tool they can sell before getting into diminishing returns. I'd guess they would have done either the Ranchero or wagon, but never both unless they hadn't done the sedan *NM*
            • My Revell contacts at the time I asked the question said that they had done a deep dive on what would be required for a 100% factory correct treatment, and the amount of change was well beyond what a sound business case could justify. Just reporting what I was told...tb *NM*

• One thing worth knowing is that Humbrol Paint Charts are good to have as they have cross reference lists to other paint brands incl the US Military FS numbers,Testors,Tamiya,Revell,Gunze,Life Color, Games Workshop, etc....AFAIK the charts are still available. *NM*
  • I'm just happy someone still makes real enamels, although not specifically automotive-related. . And hundreds of colors, including military, since Testors basically abandoned us. *NM*
