    • Mercury dealers in Canada sold Mercury trucks...Fords with different trim and tailgates. '68 may have been the final year IIRC *NM*
      • Yes, following the auto pact of 1965, most of the unique Canadian models gradually disappeared. 1968 was the last year for Mercury badged trucks. *LINK* *PIC*
        • They made bigger trucks too. The village of Ayers Cliff, QC had a 3 ton or so Mercury Thibault fire engine and Sillery, QC had a Ford C based Mercury Thibault 85’ mid mount ladder. I have other examples. *NM*
  • Now I know its a different co. & all but if ever AMT{Polar Lights) decides to reissue the 2004/2005 Pontiac GTO a RHD dash & rejiged grille to make a Holden Monaro would make me a happy camper........and pigs will fly........lol....the Merc pickup looks good BTW. *NM*

• I had the Revell "Veney's Vega" kit when it first came out and I was maybe 10 at the time and was overwhelmed with the detail. That would be a kit I wouldn't mind getting again and trying my hand at it, using my 40 extra years of experience. :) *NM*

    • The 80's Connoisseur Classic fenders do not have the wells already in place.... They are scored on the underside for removal and the wells themselves are separate pieces. *PIC*

• For anyone here that has or intends to get any of the Oz Holden & Falcon plastic kits,after speaking to DDA here in Oz they confirmed that the plastic in their kits is ABS plastic & normal styrene glue is not recommended,superglue or Tamiya ABS glue is fine. *NM*

  • Well, when the '60s and '70s "muscle cars" and "pony cars" were at most a few years old and were distinguished from each other and the cars in the grocery stores parking lots mainly by changes in wheels, tires, exhaust systems, paint jobs, stance, and maybe intake pipes or a
    • The turbos are boosts for the current gas powered smaller cars that use gas, of course, but that is a separate branch of newer generation "hot rods", mainly Asian model brands. I do not know if there is such a thing as turbos for hybrids yet. ;^) *NM*
  • The Woodward Cruise has largely become a new car showroom - we are on the other side of the state now and I doubt I'll travel for it

  • You’re welcome! On a side note, a japanere company called Asuka used to make a beautifull set of multi-piece Torque Thrust wheels. Several sets of wheel lips in different widths are included, allowing you to adjust the depth of each wheel. *NM*

  • Thanks Dave. I was aware of the releases you mentioned. I referenced the "Bonnie & Clyde" release because I happen to have one. For those unfamiliar your photo with earlier boxart is quite informative.
• I have Hoosier radial GT's on my RR, they are a regular street tire(not a soft compound) from 30 years ago. they have a narrow white lettering kinda like a BFG but in the Hoosier font *NM*
